A Graphic Artist is...
A graphics professional with a skill base applicable across the design and production spectrum, with a bias toward illustration and data visualising but with a broad and deep catalogue of work and experience across multiple disciplines focussed on developing ideas and delivering finished projects designing and artworking for print and digital.
Working as an individual and direct to you the client, or as part of an in-house team providing design and production resource under a senior creative.
I have been involved in illustrating clothing for Levis, producing technical diagrams for national press and publishing, as well as delivering high quality print and digital design and artworking for global clients via their production agencies as a Creative Artworker.
I'm as comfortable working from a scamp or design brief from a CD, AD or SD as I am implementing a look and feel across deliverables or producing final artwork for large scale print or building a suite of assets for a digital campaign.
I've worked directly and indirectly for Global brands and apply the same diligence across all projects. I do my best to make everything as good as it can be and add to any project I work on, no drama, just a solid, creative approach to take an idea from sketch to delivery, whichever stage of the project I'm needed.
On site and/or remote working
I'm based in West Suffolk with easy access to Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Colchester and surroundings. I prefer to have a mix of working with teams on site and working remotely, I am flexible.
History
I trained as a technical illustrator specialising in visual communications and have been freelance for the majority of my working life. A large percentage of my work has been direct commissions as well as working within design teams in publishing and national press and have over a decade of providing Creative Artworking skills to agencies providing graphics services to global brands.
Interests
I am a keen off-road cyclist, tennis player and I love to ski.
